Bruges, Amsterdam, Cologne/Rhineland, Brussels & Paris – 7 Day Tour
Day 1 - First stop is Bruges, the ‘Venice of the North’ and one of Europe’s best preserved medieval cities. Bruges is Belgium's most popular destination for tourists, and as soon as you arrive you will why. Stunning architecture, a city surrounded by canals, horse drawn carriages transporting people through the city and shops selling Belgian specialities, Chocolate and Beer! Depart Bruges after lunch and drive to Amsterdam, arriving late afternoon. A short coach sightseeing drive before spending the night in one the world's most unique cities.
Day 2 - A full day in Amsterdam. A morning visit to Zaanse Schanse, a living Dutch Museum, with working windmills and displays on cheese and clog making. Then back to the City Centre and the famous Van Gogh Museum, followed by a Diamond Factory tour. Late afternoon there is free time and shopping by Dam Square or a visit to Anne Frank House. In the evening you can end your stay in Amsterdam with a Canal Cruise or a Red Light District Walking Tour.
Day 3 - An early breakfast and then off to Germany. We head to Cologne, the capital of the Rhineland. We visit the Cathedral and then explore the 2000 year history of this Roman Town. After lunch drive to the Rhine Valley for a sightseeing cruise on the River Rhine, one of Germany’s main attractions and an area of stunning beauty. Fairytale Castle, beautiful villages and unbeatable scenery.
Day 4 - Depart Germany after breakfast and head to Brussels the capital of the European Union. You can visit the Grand Place, Mannekin Pis and the Cathedral, then back on the coach for the drive to Paris. On arrival in Paris begin with a coach sightseeing tour (with photo stops) to see the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, Concorde, Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral.
Day 5 - After breakfast it's straight to the Eiffel Tower where the visit begins with a boat trip on the River Seine. From the River Seine you can see many of the most famous attractions in the city including the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Musee D’Orsay, Notre Dame Cathedral and Place de la Concorde. The boat trip ends at the foot of the Eiffel Tower and the group can climb (by elevator or stairs) to the top of the Eiffel Tower for a stunning view of this beautiful city. In the afternoon visit to Palace and Gardens of Versailles.
Day 6 - A morning visit to the Louvre Museum and time to see the Mona Lisa! One of the worlds truly great museums. After lunch head to the famous Notre Dame Cathedral and spend sometime in the Latin Quarter.
Day 7 - A morning visit to Montmartre to see the Sacre Couer, Place du Tertre and Moulin Rouge, before ending the tour with some free time for shopping on the Champs Elysees or in Opera with its fantastic selection of shops.
