Andrew (Paris guide) is a very knowledgable guide who immediatly warmed to us and assisted me when we had some one lose their return ticket. Rob (UK guide), as always, is hilarious with his jokes and history mix that kept us laughing and educated all at once. Our group (Washington Preludio/Echidna Tours) completed a 10-day 9-night tour of England in July. We went to some out-of-the-way places, some top sightseeing places, and wherever we went it was beautifully arranged, and so smoothly and professionally organized by GTS. It was great to have all the vouchers, tickets, timed entries, all the transfers, hotels and meals we requested all this set up well in advance, and then to go off without a hitch. The bus drivers (Steve and Paul) were great and went out of their way to help out, especially when it was difficult with traffic, and really helped out day-to-day to make things go well. Hi Jimmy, Just a quick few words of praise for our driver-guides during our inland trips through GTS. Martin and his terrible, jokes had students' attention the whole way out of London (not an easy feat) as he guided us past Trafalgar Square and out through Brixton. When we arrived at Charleston Farm and later at Monks House in Rodmell, he somehow backed that huge coach out of lanes that proved too narrow only after you got into them. Even the guide at Monks House was impressed by the way Martin got out of that spot. And cheers too for Tony, whose secret way to get close to Stonehenge thrilled our group. He was a fantastic guide at Avebury, too, taking time to talk to small groups of students during the walk around the village. These guys added a lot to our experiences and were experts on the road, so thanks to both of them and to you for arranging this crew.
